Agent

I've had two opportunities to submit my reel to agents, which will also be available on my official site soon enough, and some other interesting opportunities came my way. I'm not sure what will return, but excited anticipating the rewarding results of hard work.

Also two wonderful opportunities to pitch our documentary idea about my cancer struggle. I can't say more than that, but doors are opening. They're two cable channels that focus on either health or women's issues. Also, a play based on the experience is in the works. We're getting our old acting troupe together and pushing forward. That's something else noteworthy: make your own way! No one hands anything to anyone. They'll help but you really gotta produce the goods.

My husband is now employed and the paychecks will start coming in two weeks. He's a charming chauffer but I can't discuss the company or clients.

We both give god the credit and thanks. After all our futile efforts of pushing and searching, this miracle came about. Mind you we weren't lazy sitting on our asses hoping for jobs to fall into our laps, but when all else failed and things that normally should work didn't and things that were far reaching and normally impossible to attain DID work, well that just goes to show that humans make their plans but god guides their steps. I'm glad when I fail all is not lost. There is still HOPE.

But still this question I ponder: where do we stop and god start?

I tend to think that the answer to the question lies subtly in our subconscious, it's a soft whisper that is drowned out by the commotion around us. If we're very still we may hear it.

That's what I want to encourage in all of you today. HOPE. With all the craziness and war in our world today we need to stand together and speak words of hope to one another. When one person is downcast and lost in worry, the other needs to provide a shoulder to lift them up.

Can you see the new trend??

Angry, hateful art/music/films are on the way out and not considered cool anymore. Why? The generation that they catered to are growing up and don't have time for that anymore. (Ultimately, less money to be made by corporations funding the bands, etc.) Most of that generation are now taking care of their own children. This next gen. is different and the girls are into glittery glamourous things, lots of fun colors and fun music. Young boys are getting into more cerebral games like chess and backgammon. Check out the new styles for fall: tailored, kinda reminiscent of the 1980s. The grunge sloppy look is out (and I just bought a new pair of low cut wide legged jeans-I guess that's why they were on sale-lol). I'm not saying there's going to be a huge pendulum shift, but new things will take the forefront. This is just the cycle and if you watch very carefully you can feel the winds of change.

Don't misunderstand, an age of innocence is not about to embark (although I wish it would) but we'll have a moment's reprieve from the overbearing hate.

Time for a Self Reflection:
Let's look inward. What are we doing to contribute to hate. If we are doing nothing to contribute to it - then good. Now let's ask ourselves, what can we do to encourage the opposite of hate which would be love and hope.

I'm challenging you and challenging myself: what can we do this weekend to encourage love and hope to those around us.
